The OOO or OM (Orchestral Model) is the quintessential fingerstyle shape and the most versatile guitar body. Introduced in the early 1930's, the OOO (12 frets to the body) and the OM (same shape with 14 frets to the body) combine a large lower bout for a full and powerful drive with a tighter waist then the Dreadnought thus achieving a more focused midrange and less boomy bottom end. While the OOO OM is the perfect guitar for clear and delicately articulated fingerstyle passages it is also an excellent guitar for strumming and hard picking or for any type of acoustic sound. Each top is hand selected for stiffness and voiced with carefully scalloped braces to achieve a truly responsive guitar.
