Beau Hannam: Luthier

I started lutherie in 2003 at Gilet Guitars in Sydney Australia, first as a student and later working there full time both making guitars, and teaching guitar making. At Gilet Guitars I helped build (Gilet and Student guitars) approximately 250 guitars.

Since 2012 I have been making custom guitars and ukuleles full time in Grand Junction, Colorado.

As of 2025, I have made 107 instruments under my own label.

I also repair select instruments (both local and instruments shipped to me world wide) so as to inform me of what are the best techniques in building history and also what to avoid. I have learnt an extraordinary amount about best building practices from repair work.

I usually do Instagram posts showing the progression of both building and repairs.
